What is the process like? How do we get started? 

My processes and services are meant to be flexible to meet the unique needs of your organization.  However, I typically start with a free consultation call to get an initial sense of how I can help.  If it feels like a good fit, we'll set up a time to agree on our scope of work and goals together.  Whether we're doing trainings, in-depth consulting or coaching, or support with recruitment or volunteer feedback I like to spend some time getting to know your organization, approach to working with volunteers, and collaborate with key members of your team as much as possible. What if my organization doesn't have an established volunteer program? 

That's ok!  We all have to start somewhere and whether you're already working with volunteers and want to develop a more official program or if you're newly considering bring volunteers onto your team, I'd love to help you work through the process.  

Can you recruit volunteers for us? 

I know from experience that finding time and developing an effective strategy for recruiting volunteers can be a real challenge. One of my services is direct volunteer recruitment and I'll work with key players on your team to craft a unique strategy before dedicating time to helping you find the right members for your team's needs.  

What is your style? 

You can expect our sessions to be collaborative, interactive, strategic and sustainability-focused.  The more you and your team invest and engage in the process, the more you will ultimately gain.  You can expect our conversations to be honest, strengths-based, and sometimes uncomfortable:  my role is to bring an honest, unbiased perspective to your team's approach.  With fresh-eyes, there will be times when I ask uncomfortable questions and challenge the status-quo.  This is always aimed at helping you to think creatively, apply new ideas, and to support the sustainability of a truly successful volunteer engagement approach.   I work from Rising Tide Volunteer Solutions' values and strive to be compassionate, collaborative, creative, resourceful, and thorough. 

Do you offer virtual and in-person workshops? 

Yes! I'll happily work with you to meet the needs of your team, and I offer workshops virtually or in-person.  

Do you offer hybrid workshops? 

Not at this time.  Workshops are designed to be highly interactive, and I find that managing the dynamics of a hybrid space detracts from the effectiveness of the experience. 

Do you offer custom training topics? 

I'd love to work with you to offer training that is customized to your team's needs.  Reach out for a free consultation call to let me know what you're looking for.  

Do you offer recorded trainings? 

Because trainings focus on creating interactive, skill-building environments, I do not offer recorded content at this time.   

Do you offer trainings for volunteers? 

I'd love to discuss your needs with you, and would be very happy to help you review, design, and optimize your volunteer orientation and other training needs.  Depending on the topic, I may provide some basic training, although I'm also a big believer that training is an excellent opportunity for organization staff to build rapport and connections with their volunteers, especially around content expertise!
